About Angie
As a child I watched my aunts work closely together in the kitchen and as the meal was prepared, each dish complimented the others. But what really stood out was the after meal dessert. Whether it was Coconut pie or homemade Chocolate Cake, it was a treat to remember, and I've always wanted to duplicate those sugary flavors that I enjoyed so much.
I began to sell dinners because I enjoyed seeing people enjoy the food I prepared from the heart. But what I noticed was that my customers, like me as a child, really enjoyed the desserts that were included with the meals . . . . banana pudding, apple cobbler or even a simple but delicious pound cake. I knew this, because the customers were requesting larger or double portions of the desserts. I stopped selling dinners and began just selling Desserts, all this, while still working a full-time job. With a little coaxing from my husband and family members, the decision was made for me to attend Culinary School where I learned numerous procedures to add to my dessert preparation arsenal. Bake Shop was my favorite and most helpful class and it allowed me to actually perfect my recipes.
With more motivation and a supporting husband, I opened
a bakery in Buckroe area where I grew up. The aroma of fresh
desserts and sweets in my own shop remind me of the Bakery in
this shopping center years ago when I was a child. My mission is to bring back those delicious freshly made desserts and sweets that perhaps you, like me, remember so fondly. I have created a bakery where people in the area can stop in and pick up a cupcake or a slice of pie, pudding or cake for themselves, or the entire family.
My love of the countryside has also inspired me to bring in Homemade Jellies, Candies and Wheel Cheese from the country, foods that I would once drive for several hours just to enjoy.
